Kanpur NGO collects and composts discarded flowers to curb waste

Kanpur Ploggers, an NGO, collects and composts discarded flowers after segregating them from plastic to stop them from becoming another source of waste and pollution. The NGO's team has been conducting the drives for nearly five years every week and has crossed 270 editions. The NGO also aided in establishing designated 'arpan sthals', where people may leave flowers after use.
