New facility to allow customers to receive debit cards directly from ATMs

Bank customers may be able to receive debit cards directly through ATMs under a new facility set to be launched at the Global Fintech Fest, NDTV Profit reported. The system is aimed at reducing dependence on bank branches and enabling quicker, on-the-spot card issuance. Department of Financial Services Secretary Sanjay Lohiya will launch the facility on Wednesday evening.
