Railways launches new train services, sanctions projects for Chhattisgarh

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated the Tadoki–Raoghat and Abhanpur–Kurud broad-gauge rail lines in Chhattisgarh, flagging off Raoghat–Raipur and Raipur–Kurud train services. Several new rail corridors were sanctioned, enabling 100 additional trains. Raoghat received its first-ever train since Independence, connecting remote southern Chhattisgarh, including Naxal-affected North Bastar Kanker district, to the national rail network.
