China's Jingye Steel has urged the UK government to fully compensate it for losses resulting from the nationalisation of British Steel. The company said UK government ignored its investments while offering "almost zero" compensation. The UK took control of British Steel to safeguard domestic steelmaking capacity and to prevent the company’s Chinese owners from shutting the plant’s blast furnaces.
