In a legal first, AI-powered law firm Garfield AI has won a court trial against human lawyers in UK, helping a freelance HR consultant recover £7,000 (over ₹8.76 lakh) in a small debt claim dispute. The claimant paid £400 (about ₹50,000) to the firm. The Solicitors Regulation Authority-authorised chatbot hired a human barrister to advocate for the client in court.
