Researchers spotted an 'iron bar' stretching about 3.7 trillion miles (6 trillion km) across the face of Ring Nebula, which is a glowing shell of gas and dust expelled by a dying star. Researchers suggested that the bar-shaped cloud of iron atoms could be the remains of a rocky planet that was vapourised when the star expelled its outer layers.
