Professor Geoffrey Hinton, who was awarded 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics with Professor John Hopfield for breakthroughs on machine learning, warned about potential dangers of AI. "It's going to be wonderful in many respects...But we also have to worry about...possible bad consequences. Particularly...threat of these things getting out of control," he said. Hinton is credited as a 'godfather of AI'.
