Prayagraj Magh Mela authorities have sent a notice to Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, asking him to explain how he is using the title of 'Shankaracharya', citing an Allahabad High Court order. This comes amid a row over his allegation that police stopped him and his followers from taking a holy dip in the Ganga. The authorities have denied his allegation.
