A recent wave of cyberattacks targeted water infrastructure across the US, affecting community water systems and wastewater facilities in several states. More than 30 community water systems in Minnesota were attacked between July 26-27. US officials believe Iranian-linked hackers were likely behind the attack, aiming to disrupt water pressure and potentially contaminate the public water supply.
