Five women who suffered kidney complications after undergoing C-section deliveries at government-run New Medical College in Kota have written to President Droupadi Murmu seeking an emergency organ transplant or permission to be "euthanised". The women alleged that the hospital was negligent and they blamed counterfeit medicines for their condition. They underwent the procedure in May.
