Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping's bilateral meeting on Wednesday came after Indian businesses put increasing pressure on Indian government to relax restrictions on China, Bloomberg reported citing people familiar with the matter. India had imposed strict rules on Chinese businesses, banned several Chinese apps and slowed visa approvals after border clashes in 2020.
