Car dealers in India are facing an all-time high inventory of 80-85 days equal to 7,90,000 vehicles worth ₹79,000 crore despite October being the festive sales month, ET reported. This is partially due to aggressive despatches by carmakers amid low sales, the report added. Car sales have been witnessing a slowdown since this May, with inventories rising since then.
