Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly dismissed an article claiming he asked Yusuf Pathan to step down as Berhampore MP on behalf of former West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. "The allegations in the article are in reckless disregard of the truth," he added. The article claimed Ganguly asked Pathan to step down so Mamata could contest in the constituency's by-elections.
