NVIDIA unveiled AI-powered DLSS 5, a real-time neural rendering model that enables "Hollywood-like" photoreal effects in video games. The firm called it its most significant computer graphics breakthrough since 2018. The technology combines traditional 3D data with generative AI to predict and render photoreal lighting and materials. "DLSS 5 is the GPT moment for graphics," CEO Jensen Huang said.
