India has raised windfall taxes on diesel and ATF exports by ₹7/litre each after energy prices surged amid escalation in West Asia and closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Diesel duty has risen from ₹8.5/litre to ₹15.5/litre, while ATF duty has increased from ₹7.5/litre to ₹14.5/litre. However, petrol export duty has been cut from ₹4/litre to ₹2.5/litre, effective from Thursday.
