Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland is investing in Norway Chess and its new format, the Total Chess World Championship Tour. The Manchester City striker said, "Chess sharpens your mind, and there are clear similarities to football." The 25-year-old has reportedly joined hands with businessman Morten Borge to establish a company called Chess Mates, which will be an owner of Norway Chess.
