Activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is on indefinite hunger strike in support of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), urged people to observe at least a one-day fast to show their support. "You all are eating 'thoos thoos ke' (stuffing yourself with food)...That saddens me," he said at Jantar Mantar. "If you don't fast, you'll get fat and die before us," he joked.
