Veteran anime director Tsutomu Shibayama, who helmed the popular TV show 'Doraemon', has passed away at the age of 84 after battling lung cancer. He succumbed to the disease on March 6. The Japanese animation studio Ajiado, which he co-founded, announced his demise on March 17 after a private funeral attended by close family members.
