Doctor explains why a 35-year-old man developed paralysis after eating 6 rasgullas

Neurologist Dr Sudhir Kumar shared a case of a 35-year-old man who developed severe weakness (paralysis) after eating 5-6 rasgullas, explaining that he had a rare condition called hypokalemic periodic paralysis. Hypokalemic means low potassium levels in blood. Dr Kumar said, "Carbohydrate load results in increase in insulin, which causes potassium (K⁺) to shift into cells."
