A Pune sessions court has ordered Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Maharashtra Police to investigate allegations that IT major Cognizant bribed local government officials to secure necessary permits and environmental clearances for its campus at Hinjawadi. The bribe was allegedly paid between 2013 and 2014. A report said the allegations claimed around ₹6.5 crore was paid as bribe.
