Kerala's Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government announced free bus travel for women on state-run Kerala State Road Transport Corporation buses in its first cabinet meeting. Scheme will be rolled out from June 15. It also approved a ₹3,000 monthly hike in honorarium of ASHA workers and monthly increase of ₹1,000 each for Anganwadi workers, helpers, and school's cooking staff.
