Samsung announced that its Messages application will be discontinued in July 2026 in US. It advised users to migrate conversations and set Google Messages as the default before service ends. Samsung messaging app will continue to function on devices running Android 11 or lower and users of Galaxy S26 and newer devices cannot download Samsung Messages app from Galaxy Store.
