US Pacific Commander holds key talks at Indo-Pacific defence chiefs' conference

Admiral Samuel Paparo, commander of US Pacific Command, held bilateral and multilateral meetings at the 28th Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defence Conference in Victoria, Canada. He engaged with Quad, AUKUS, ASEAN, and NATO leaders. Notably, he met China's PLA Eastern Theatre commander — their first in-person meeting — to reduce miscalculation risks.
