The Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar (MBVV) police's anti-narcotics cell (ANC) raided a hookah lounge named Boss Club in Mira Road for allegedly serving tobacco-laced products. The lounge is located near the newly inaugurated court in the Hatkesh area. During the raid, the ANC team seized hookah pipes, pots, and tobacco-laced smoking material.

Ashwani recorded figures of 3-0-24-4 as MI dismissed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for 116 runs in 16.2 overs. He took the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, Rinku Singh, Manish Pandey and Andre Russell.

America's S&P 500 and Nasdaq stock market indexes hit more than six-month lows on Monday. India has reportedly refuted a New York Times' report that alleged that state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) may have "re-routed British sensitive equipment" to Russian Rosoboronexport, which is sanctioned by UK and EU. External Affairs Ministry sources said, "The report is factually incorrect and misleading. It has tried to frame issues and distort facts to suit a political narrative."

The ruling military junta in Myanmar said the death toll from the recent earthquake has risen to 2,056. The toll is expected to rise further, the junta said. The 7.7 magnitude quake, which occurred on Friday (March 28), was followed by a strong 6.4 magnitude aftershock, with widespread damage to infrastructure and lives reported in the country.

IFS officer of 2014 batch, Nidhi Tewari, has been appointed PM Narendra Modi's Private Secretary. Currently serving as a Deputy Secretary at Prime Minister's Office, Tewari previously served as Under Secretary at the Disarmament and International Security Affairs Division in Foreign Ministry. Nidhi is from PM Modi's constituency of Varanasi and had secured 96th rank in UPSC civil services exam.
