Indian Air Force airman Nitish Sachan was "slapped 70-80 times" by policemen in UP's Kanpur and assault left his eardrum ruptured. Nitish's mother Rekha Sachan, in a complaint, said Nitish was returning from a wedding on February 19 when he was picked by police and beaten. The police said Nitish had behaved badly when policemen asked for his identity card.
