CWG gold medallist Sakshi bows out to reigning world champion at Asian Games

Boxer Sakshi Chaudhary lost 2-3 to reigning world champion Alua Balkibekova of Kazakhstan in the women's 51kg Round of 16 at Asian Games 2026. The 26-year-old had opened her campaign with 5-0 victory over Olympic bronze medallist Aira Villegas of the Philippines. Notably, Sakshi had won the gold medal in the women's 51kg flyweight category at the Commonwealth Games 2026.
