Sensex falls nearly 800 points, Nifty drops to 22,400

Sensex fell by 772.30 points on Thursday to 71,866.40 while Nifty fell to 22,337.30, down by 265.75 points. Tata Steel, Reliance and ITC were among the top laggards on Sensex, while Adani Enterprises and ITC fell the most on Nifty. This comes a day after RBI raised repo rate by 25 bps for the first time in nearly four years.
