England's Joe Root opted against wearing cap while batting in heat during his 111*(108) against Sri Lanka in third ODI in Colombo. As per ECB rules, anyone playing professional/pathway cricket must mandatorily wear helmet against any bowler. The rule was introduced in 2015 on death anniversary of Australia's Phil Hughes, who died after being hit on neck by ball.
