NASA on Friday launched the LINK spacecraft to rescue the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory from falling back to Earth. The spacecraft will use three robotic arms to capture the observatory and lift it to a safer orbit. The Swift Observatory detects some of the universe's most powerful explosions and has dropped from its original 600-km orbit to around 360 km.
