Japanese automaker Honda has reported its first annual loss in nearly 70 years. The company posted an operating loss of around $2.6 billion for FY26, hit by over $9 billion in costs to restructure its electric-vehicle business. Honda, which is Japan's second-largest carmaker, earlier scrapped plans for three EV cars for the US market amid slowing demand and rising costs.
