Hardeep Puri set for unopposed RS election as rivals' nominations rejected

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri is set to be elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha in the Madhya Pradesh bypoll after nominations of two candidates were rejected. Kante Sayanna's nomination lacked the required signatures from 10% of elected Assembly members or 10 members, whichever was fewer. Rajkumar Lohani failed to submit the Form 26 affidavit by the November 2 deadline.
