Govt's DBT system saved ₹5 lakh cr from falling into wrong hands: PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi said India's digital infrastructure has become a key instrument of governance and delivery of public services, while speaking at the 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC). He added that the government's direct benefit transfer (DBT) system saved ₹5 lakh crore from falling into the "wrong hands" by money being deposited directly into beneficiaries' bank accounts.
