India's wholesale inflation crosses 11% as food, fuel prices surge

India's wholesale inflation rose to 11.39% in September from 9.92% in August, driven by a sharp increase in fuel costs and higher food prices, according to government data. Wholesale food inflation stood at 8.66%, while fuel and power prices rose 25.85%. Inflation in manufactured products also accelerated to 9.76% in September from 8.37% in August.
