Kerala HC noted that maligning character of a woman with "no substance is a pernicious form of social violence". HC said that society exposes its own intellectual poverty while focusing more on women's image than achievements. The observations were made while quashing an FIR against actress Shwetha Menon for allegedly publishing obscene scenes from her past films and commercials.
