11-year-old Indian-origin Bodhana becomes youngest Women’s Grandmaster in history

England's Indian-origin chess prodigy Bodhana Sivanandan has become the youngest Women's Grandmaster (WGM) in history at 11 after securing her third WGM norm at the Chess Olympiad 2026 in Samarkand. Sivanandan has scored 6.5 points from nine games, including five wins and three draws. She had secured her second WGM norm at Dole Open in July.
