Cabinet clears rail projects worth ₹9,450-crore across 4 states

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, approved four multitracking projects across eight districts in West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The projects will add about 410 km to the Indian Railways network, improve connectivity to around 6,448 villages and benefit nearly 60 lakh people. The projects have an estimated cost of ₹9,450 crore.
