Indian-Americans form 1.5% of US population, contribute 6% to GDP: US-India forum
The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum condemned US government's decision after it barred eight IT firms from sponsoring green cards. Praising the contribution of Indian-Americans to US economy, it said, "Though the Indian American community is 1.5% of...[US] population, it contributes 6% to the GDP." "They are the most educated and law-abiding citizens of US," it added.
