A 25-year-old Bangladeshi national, Anurul Sheik, was apprehended on January 10 from Mukka village on the outskirts of Mangaluru for living illegally in India. The joint operation by the Internal Security Division (ISD) and Mangaluru Police followed a tip-off, revealing that Anurul had entered India illegally via the Lalgola border in West Bengal three years ago.
