Intel plans more layoffs after cutting nearly 40,000 jobs in past 2 years

Intel has said it is planning layoffs in its data centre group in a bid to become a "more focused and efficient" company, a spokesperson told Business Insider. Notably, the world’s third-largest semiconductor chip manufacturer cut nearly 40,000 jobs in the past two years, as per its annual reports. Intel is "committed to treating...impacted employees with respect", the spokesperson added.
