Will urge G20 nations to re-examine trade with China: Scott Bessent

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he will encourage G20 member countries to "re-examine terms of trade with China" to reduce global imbalances. "[China's] economy is quite weak, and they're trying to export their way out of it, and they need to rebalance their economy," he added. Bessent further said the world can't have China with "$1.2 trillion trade surplus".
