Women candidates forced to run with 25-kg weight for ₹5000 Himachal govt job; recruitment suspended

The Department of Animal Husbandry in Himachal Pradesh has put recruitment on hold after outcry over women candidates being forced to run 100 metres carrying sacks weighing 25 kg. The government was hiring 'Pashu Mitras' and offering them ₹5,000/month. A video from the recruitment showed a woman collapsing while running. "The sack was too heavy," said one candidate.
