Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is being renamed as Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS). The condition causes the ovaries to produce excess androgen hormones. The common symptoms of PMOS include irregular periods, abnormal hair growth, acne, obesity, cysts, skin tags, thinning hair and infertility, as per Cleveland Clinic. It's also possible to have PMOS and not have any symptoms.
