He added, "We'll be announcing that sometime in the near future." Nifty Pharma index slumped, with Aurobindo Pharma and Lupin's stock down 7%. Sensex tumbles 800 points amid Trump's tariff turmoil

Sensex tumbled over 800 points on Friday and was trading below the 76,000-mark after US President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariff announcements spooked the global stock markets. Nifty was down over 300 points and was trading below the 23,000 level. Nifty Auto, Nifty Metal and Nifty Pharma crashed over 1% each, as investors trimmed their holdings.

Brought to bowl the 13th over of KKR's innings, Mendis bowled three balls of left-arm spin and three of off-spin.

Veteran actor Manoj Kumar has passed away at the age of 87. He breathed his last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Known for his patriotic films including Shaheed (1965) and Purab Aur Paschim (1970), the actor received Padma Shri in 1992 for his contributions to Bollywood and was later honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015.

Waqf Bill cleared by Parliament

It was passed in Rajya Sabha with 128 MPs of Upper House voting in its favour and 95 MPs voting against it. Lok Sabha witnessed heated discussions on the Bill between NDA and the Opposition, after which it was cleared with 288-232 vote.

Canada becomes first country to retaliate to Trump's reciprocal tariffs

Canadian PM Mark Carney announced that Canada will impose 25% tariff on all vehicles imported from US that aren't compliant with US-Mexico-Canada trade deal. This makes Canada the first country to retaliate against reciprocal tariffs. US said tariffs announced earlier will be imposed on Canada but the latest reciprocal tariffs, imposed on about 60 countries, won't be effective, Carney noted.

S&P 500 fell 3.4%, putting it on track for its worst day since September 2022. The Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled nearly 1,400 points, or over 2%. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite index fell 800 points.
