The Uttar Pradesh government has banned coaching centres and all commercial activities operating from basements after 15 people were killed in a fire at a coaching centre in Lucknow's Aliganj area. CM Yogi Adityanath directed officials to strictly enforce fire safety and disaster management norms across the state. He warned that violations of safety standards would not be tolerated.
