Shares of ​memory chip ‌maker Nanya Technology on Thursday opened ​with a surge of 10% ⁠after ​it issued ​a $2.5 billion private placement backed ​by tech ​firms. The private placement included players like SanDisk Technology, Cisco Systems among others. Notably, SanDisk revealed a $1 billion private placement through 139 million shares securing roughly 3.9% ownership of Nanya Technology.
