A shepherd rescued a newborn baby boy who was allegedly abandoned beneath the Basavanakatti bridge in Kittur village of Ramdurg taluk. While grazing his sheep, he heard the infant crying and rushed to the spot. Doctors later confirmed the baby was healthy and responding well to treatment. Police have visited the site and launched an investigation.
