Ex-West Bengal Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury reacted to the appointment of new West Bengal Congress President Subhankar Sarkar. "I don't want to say anything. Anyone can become the president," said Chowdhury. He added the party high command has the right to choose the state party president. Congress appointed Subhankar Sarkar as President of West Bengal Congress Committee on Saturday.
