US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said an illegal immigrant from Laos, convicted of child rape, has been deported after his legal status was revoked. Rubio criticised Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for previously granting clemency to Tou Lue Vang before his scheduled deportation. Vang was convicted in 2006 of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in Minnesota.
