US President Donald Trump said he hopes China, France, Japan, South Korea and UK would send warships to Strait of Hormuz. Trump said these nations should ensure the strait is no longer "a threat by [Iran] that has been totally decapitated". The closure of the strait, through which 20% of oil supplies pass, has led to rise in oil prices.
