A study published in 'Radiology' said radiologists and AI struggled to identify AI-generated X-ray images. The study used 264 images, around 50% of which were AI-generated and found that even the AI that made the images failed to detect all of them. Researchers said this increases risks of fraud litigations as hackers could insert fake X-rays into a hospital's network.
